Programming Metro-Style Apps Workshop

Windows 8 will come in two flavours – a traditional “desktop” edition and a new “tablet” edition called Windows RT. The tablet edition will run on a new class of ARM-based hardware (you’ll often find this called Windows on ARM, or WOA). With both flavours comes “Metro-style”, a new way of building immersive, touch-centric applications. The message from Microsoft is confusing though – does WinRT replace .NET? What’s the future for .NET development and developers?
