Progressive Java Tutorials 2012 / Full Stack Java EE

Please RSVP for instructions on how to join the event.

Description

In the past, Java EE suffered from the legacy of bloated XML, superfluous code, and poor Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) support. Java EE 5 rectified several of these issues by introducing a simplified programming model, annotations and migrating to the Java Persistence API (JPA) as the basis for EJB persistence. However, since JavaServer Faces (JSF) and servlets didn’t receive the same level of simplification, and there was no standard for dependency injection, the platform still felt somewhat disjointed.
