disposable objects and Seq.unfold

I'm having a bit of a problem figuring out how to generate a sequence from a list of variables in a text file.

Right now, I have (simplified):

use txtrdr = new System.IO.StreamReader( listFilename )

txtrdr |> Seq.unfold (fun txtrdr ->

                    let line = txtrdr.ReadLine()

                    Some(line, txtrdr) )

But, since the seq doesn't get iterated until the txtrdr is disposed, it doesn't work.

I also tried using a seq{} expression. But, it complained about the try/with (omitted) that I have for failed reads.

What I've done is (dummy) iterate the sequence immediately in the enclosing function after piping through Seq.cache. I'm not sure if this is the most elegant way. But, it works.

I suggest you to use File.ReadAllLines in conjunction with Array module.
